- This agreement applies as between you, the User of this Website and the owner Vanessa Tucker sole Trader, trading as Walk Your Talk Retreats, Vanessatucker.com. Vanessa Tucker offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, clients, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you should stop using the Website immediately.
Please take the time to read these Terms and Conditions. It’s important as it does include vital information about your booking or purchase.
- Definitions and Interpretation
In this Agreement the following terms shall have the following meanings:
“Account” means collectively the personal information, Payment Information and credentials used by Users to access Paid Content and / or any communications System on the Website;
“Carrier” means any third party responsible for transporting purchased Goods from our Premises to customers;
“Content” means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations and any other form of information capable of being stored in a computer that appears on or forms part of this Website;
“Goods” means any products and services that Vanessa Tucker advertises and / or makes available for sale through this Website;
The terms “Walk Your Talk Retreats”, “The centre for energy medicine & healing arts”, “Bohemian Routes Healing shop”, “ Vanessa Tucker Photography”, “Vanessa Tucker Designs”, “Vanessatucker.com”, “we”, “us” and “our” means Vanessa Tucker, 1 Fore Street, Bere Alston, Devon PL20 7AA;
“Service” means collectively any online or offline healing or therapy, training courses, retreats, workshops, facilities, tools, services or information that that Vanessa Tucker makes available through the Website either now or in the future; .
‘The Venues/venue’ refers to any of the venues in the U.K. and in other countries such as India or Europe where retreats, events, courses and workshops, run by ‘Vanessa Tucker Walk Your Talk Retreats’ are held.
“Payment Information” means any details required for the purchase of Goods and services from this Website. This includes, but is not limited to, credit / debit card numbers, bank account numbers and sort codes;
“Purchase Information” means collectively any orders, invoices, dispatch notes, receipts or similar that may be in hard copy or electronic form;
“Premises” Means our place(s) of business located at, 1 Fore Street, Bere Alston, Devon PL20 7AA
“System” means any online communications infrastructure Vanessa Tucker makes available through the Website either now or in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, web-based email, message boards, live chat facilities and email links;
“User” / “Users” means any third party that accesses the Website and is not employed by Vanessa Tucker and acting in the course of their employment; and “Website” means the website that you are currently using (vanessatucker.com) and any sub-domains of this site unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.
- Your contractual relationship with ’Vanessa Tucker Walk Your Talk Retreats’ and ‘The Venues’ (or ‘The Venue’) used for retreats, events, courses and workshops.
‘The Venues/venue’ refers to any of the venues in the U.K. and in other countries such as India or Europe where retreats, events, courses and workshops, run by ‘Vanessa Tucker Walk Your Talk Retreats’ are held. The course element (i.e. the teaching provided during sessions at ‘The Venues’) is provided by ‘Vanessa Tucker Walk Your Talk Retreats’. But all hotel / venue accommodation and elements are provided by ‘The Venues’. You therefore have a direct relationship with ‘The Venues’ for all matters concerning the hotel (or venue structure, where applicable): e.g. accommodation, food, facilities, transfers, etc. Vanessa Tucker is not responsible for any such elements. Vanessa Tucker has visited ‘The Venues’ and has been in dialogue with them, and is providing information on Vanessa Tucker.com’ websites and brochures in good faith based on that visit and discussion. It is not, however, responsible for inaccuracies in information regarding ‘The Venues’ or for any problems arising from ‘The Venues’ provision of facilities or services.
- Exemption from liability of unforeseen circumstances or events
Vanessa Tucker.’ is not liable for adverse weather conditions, global pandemic, strikes, transport delays or technical problems or any other unpredictable or unforeseeable event or events which could prevent you from participating in the retreat, training course, workshop, event or one-to-one, or online course, or any other ‘Vanessa Tucker.’ offering, whether in person or virtually. Each participant is 100% responsible for any losses, penalties, fees or other financial consequences arising out of any disruption to their retreat, event, course or workshop or the cancellation or interruption of any booking or trip (including, by way of example, costs related to airline tickets and fees, passport fees, visa fees, medical expenses, etc.) For all of these reasons, it is strongly recommended that you have adequate travel insurance to cover any possible problems that may occur during your retreat or event or in the lead-up to that retreat or event; particularly relating to emergencies.
- Exemption from liability for health problems
It is your responsibility to inform ’Vanessa Tucker’ of any health conditions which could impact, prevent, limit or in any way affect your participation in any of the wellbeing workshops, retreats, therapy and healings courses offered on this website. The participant takes sole responsibility for their health when participating in any activities either online via zoom or off-line at a retreat, course or workshop, or one to one therapy and healing sessions held by ‘Vanessa Tucker’. In no case is ‘Vanessa Tucker’ liable for any damage, direct or indirect, to your health. If you have concerns relating to dietary allergies, mobility or other health concerns that are impacted by your environment then please contact ‘The Venues’ directly if you believe they require advance notice of such issues.
- Payment, Refunds & Cancellation for Services
All prices on the website are in pounds sterling per person and are based on one person in a single or sharing double room. Please take the time to read and understand ‘Vanessa Tucker’ Terms & Conditions detailed here prior to booking a trip with Vanessa Tucker. If you decide to book a retreat with Vanessa Tucker (Walk Your Talk Retreats) then you will be required to confirm your agreement to these Terms & Conditions as part of the online booking process.
Cancellation of Healing or Therapy Session: Please contact us at info @vanessatucker.com to cancel a scheduled healing or therapy session as soon as possible. Payments are non-refundable although sessions may be rescheduled at a date that suits us both.
Cancellation by you UK Weekend Retreats, Workshops & Courses: Should you wish to cancel a UK retreat, workshop or training course that you have booked, the person who booked must contact us immediately in writing [email protected]. In all cases for short events, workshops, one-to-ones, online courses, training courses, and any other ‘Vanessa Tucker’ offering, the payment or payments made is / are non-refundable.
Payments & Cancellation by you:
For Retreats, payments are offered as a single payment to ‘Vanessa Tucker’ and a single payment to ‘The Venue’ used for the retreat, thus equating to two instalments in total. There is also the option to pay as a series of instalments. Full details of instalments on offer are given on booking and the offer varies dependent on the time remaining before the retreat. One of the instalments will likely be required to be made directly to ‘The Venue’ and will be clearly called the ‘venue instalment’. ‘Vanessa Tucker’ will inform and remind the retreat participant(s) of the various deadlines and also make clear which is the ‘venue instalment’. Even though ‘Vanessa Tucker’ reminds the participant(s) of the ‘venue instalment’ deadline, and provides the necessary details for making the ‘venue instalment’ payment, ‘Vanessa Tucker’ will not check that that payment has been made and is not therefore responsible for any consequences of non-payment. The ‘venue instalment’ is usually paid directly to ‘The Venue’ used for the particular retreat and reflects the direct relationship between the retreat participant and ‘The Venues’ in relation to the services that the ‘The Venues’ provide as outlined in point ‘3.’ of these terms and conditions. In certain circumstances, the ‘venue instalment’ will be paid to ‘Vanessa Tucker’, who will the pass on the required monies to the venue. In such circumstances, it will still be clear that this is the ‘venue instalment’ and the relationship between the retreat participant and ‘The Venues’ in relation to the services that the ‘The Venues’ provide remains as outlined in point ‘3.’
There is a non-refundable deposit of £50% taken at the time of booking that secures your place on the Indian retreat.
Cancellations four months to ten weeks: 75% non-refundable, cancellations within ten weeks of the date: 100% non-refundable. After this time “The Venue” is still likely to request that full payment be made, just as with a cancellation with a regular pre-booked hotel.
Cancellation by us: If Vanessa Tucker.com has to cancel a retreat/workshop/course or rearrange dates, you will be offered to transfer to the new dates. If you cannot attend the new dates then you will be offered a full refund for all the remaining days of your course or workshop. In the unlikely extreme circumstance that Vanessa Tucker.com has to cancel a retreat, workshop, one to one, workshop, training course Vanessa Tucker.com will refund the full amount of the retreat, workshop, one to one, workshop, training course costs only. Costs associated to flights, visas, transfers, or any other costs incurred to you are not the responsibility of Vanessa Tucker.com and will not be refunded. (We strongly suggest that you acquire travel insurance to cover any situation that may arise, such as change of ticket dates, sickness, family emergency, etc.)
An exception to Vanessa Tucker.com being held liable for a cancellation, is when an ‘act of God’ or ‘Force Majeure’, such as extreme weather conditions; a tsunami, an international emergency, or other uncontrollable unforeseen incidents, but not limited to, have happened. ’Vanessa Tucker cannot be held liable or responsible for circumstances beyond its control such as an ‘act of god’ or ‘Force Majeure.
- Informed Consent for Participation
It is important to understand the nature of the psycho-spiritual techniques and wellbeing activities that you are participating in prior to booking and purchasing. Whether it be the shamanic practices, somatic movement, one to one touch-work, reiki, chi gong, energy and crystal healing, NLP, Hypnotherapy, group talk, pair-work creative therapy, soul therapy, all of these modalities are powerful and work on an emotional, physical and spiritual level. Information about the nature of the course and activities is contained in the description for that particular course or activity on their website page or on other places the website. If you do not understand any of the concepts or references conveyed, we ask that you make yourself familiar before booking you can research the modality to ensure you are informed.
We ask that you take responsibility for your psychological and physical health when attending a retreat, course, workshop or event, either offline or online, should you feel overwhelm, overexertion, or fatigue, or that the activity is deemed too demanding, you should remove yourself from the activity until you have recovered.
Your agreeing to these terms and conditions, and your successive participation in the courses, events, one-to-ones, online courses, or other ‘Vanessa Tucker’ offerings demonstrates your informed consent to these courses and activities.
- Modifications to the products, services or pricing
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Returns Policy. Vanessa Tucker.com does not represent or warrant that such Goods will be available. Stock indications are provided on the Website; however, these may not take into account sales that have taken place during your visit to the website.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.
All pricing information on the Website is correct at the time of going online. Vanessa Tucker.com reserves the right to change prices and alter or remove any special offers from time to time and as necessary. In the event that prices are changed during the period between an order being placed for Goods and Vanessa Tucker.com processing that order and taking payment, you will be contacted prior to your order being processed with details of the new price. We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.
- Termination and Cancellation for Goods
Either Vanessa Tucker.com or you may terminate your Account. Vanessa Tucker.com terminates your Account, you will be notified by email and an explanation for the termination will be provided. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the right to terminate without giving reasons. If Vanessa Tucker.com terminates your Account, any current or pending purchases on your Account will be cancelled and will not be dispatched
Vanessa Tucker.com reserves the right to cancel purchases without stating reasons, for any reason prior to processing payment and dispatch. If purchases are cancelled for any reason prior to dispatch you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to those purchases.
If you terminate your Account any non-dispatched purchases will be cancelled and you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to those purchases.
- Product Information
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information presented on vanessatucker.com. Vanessatucker.com or its suppliers shall not be held liable for the consequences, accidents, or special damages arising from electronic transmissions or the accuracy of transmitted information, even in cases where Vanessatucker.com was aware of the possibility of such damages. Manufacturer and brand names are only used for identification purposes. Product photos, descriptions and prices are non-contractual.
- Proof of Transaction
The records stored in Vanessa Tucker’s computer systems under reasonable safety conditions are considered proof of communications, orders and payments made between the parties. Purchase orders and invoices are stored on a reliable and durable system and can be produced as evidence.
- Returns Policy
Vanessa Tucker.com aims to always provide high quality Goods that are fault free and undamaged. On occasion however, goods may need to be returned. Returns are governed by these Terms and Conditions.
If you receive Goods which do not match those that you ordered, unless accompanied by an explanatory note detailing the changes, stating reasons for the changes and setting out your options, you should contact us within 7 days to arrange collection and return. Vanessa Tucker.com is not responsible for paying shipment costs. You will be given the option to have the Goods replaced with those ordered (if available) or to be refunded through the payment method used by you when purchasing the Goods. Refunds and replacements will be issued upon our receipt of the returned Goods.
If any Goods you have purchased have faults when they are delivered to you, you should contact Vanessa Tucker.com within 7 days to arrange collection and return. Vanessa Tucker.com is responsible for paying shipment costs. Goods must be returned in their original condition with all packaging and documentation. Upon receipt of the returned Goods, the price of the Goods, as paid by you, will be refunded to you through the payment method used by you when purchasing the Goods.
If any Goods develop faults within their warranty period, you are entitled to a repair or replacement under the terms of that warranty.
All products leave our premises in perfect condition. If Goods are damaged in transit and the damage is apparent on delivery, you should sign the delivery note to the effect that the goods have been damaged. And notify the carrier (or postman) of even the slightest trace of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, and refuse the package if necessary.
No exchanges can be made at a later time for goods claiming to be damaged during carriage without notification at the time of delivery.
As with any shipment, a delay or loss of goods is possible. In such a case, the carrier shall start an investigation. Every effort is made, for as long as necessary, to find the package. If the package is not found, the carrier will reimburse vanessatucker.com, who will where possible deliver a new, identical package to the customer free of charge.
We shall not be held responsible for delayed delivery times due to the carrier, including for the loss of goods, bad weather or strikes or ‘acts of god’.
You have a statutory right to a “cooling off” period. This period begins once your order is complete and ends 14 days after the Goods have been delivered. If you change your mind about the goods within this period, please return them to Vanessa Tucker.com within 14 days of receipt. You are responsible for paying shipment costs if Goods are returned for this reason.
If you wish to return Goods to Vanessa Tucker.com for any of the above reasons, please contact us using the contact us form on the website to make the appropriate arrangements.
Vanessa Tucker.com reserves the right to exercise discretion with respect to any returns under these Terms and Conditions. Factors which may be taken into account in the exercise of this discretion include, but are not limited to:
Any use or enjoyment that you may have already had out of the Goods;
Any characteristics of the Goods which may cause them to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
The fact that the Goods consist of audio or video recordings or digital pdf booklets, computer software and that the packaging has been opened;
Any discounts that may have formed part of the purchase price of the Goods to reflect any lack of quality made known to the Customer at the time of purchase.
Such discretion to be exercised only within the confines of the law.
Products are delivered to the address specified by the customer on the purchase order and only to geographic zones that we service.
Vanessa Tucker.com will notify you by way of email when your goods are to be dispatched to you. The message will contain details of estimated delivery times in addition to any reasons for a delay in the delivery of the Goods purchased by you.
If Vanessa Tucker.com receives no communication from you, within (three) 3 days of delivery, regarding any problems with the Goods, you are deemed to have received the Goods in full working order and with no problems.
Loss or Damage in Transit
vanessatucker.com will not be responsible for damage or loss of goods or part thereof in transit or for any discrepancy between the goods delivered and the goods ordered unless the customer gives written or email notice of a claim to vanessatucker.com and the carrier within three (3) business days of delivery.
In the event of damage of goods or part thereof in transit or for any discrepancy between the goods delivered and the goods ordered, the customer must hold the goods and make them available for inspection or collection by vanessatucker.com or its representatives on request.
- Availability of the Website
The Service is provided “as is” and on an “as available” basis. We give no warranty that the Service will be free of defects and / or faults. To the maximum extent permitted by the law we provide no warranties (express or implied) of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, compatibility and satisfactory quality.
vanessatucker.com accepts no liability for any disruption or non-availability of the Website resulting from external causes including, but not limited to, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events, acts of war or legal restrictions and censorship.

- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vanessa Tucker.com accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Website or any information contained therein. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts Vanessa Tucker’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from any negligence or fraud on the part of Vanessa Tucker.com
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts Vanessa Tucker’s liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising out of the incorrect delivery of Goods or services out of reliance on incorrect information included on the Website.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that these Terms and Conditions adhere strictly with the relevant provisions of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, in the event that any of these terms are found to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, that term is to be deemed severed from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining Terms and Conditions. This term shall apply only within jurisdictions where a particular term is illegal.

You will be bound by any changes to the Terms and Conditions from the first time you use the Website following the changes.
